What's LMS Live? The Documentation System Behind Every Let Mommy Sleep Location

When Let Mommy Sleep started in 2010, social media and having an App for every need on your phone wasn't really a thing yet. At that time, notes were commonly kept in manila folders and spiral notebooks, but we wanted a more secure way to chart and share information among the families, nurses and caregivers. So we built it!
As Let Mommy Sleep began placing Registered Nurses and newborn care specialists into family homes overnight, a paper-based system created a real problem: there was no reliable, secure way for caregivers, families and agency directors to share information in real time. A caregiver could document a difficult feeding session at 3am, but the family wouldn’t see it if they got too busy during the day, the next caregiver might not see it at all and the agency director had no visibility into what was happening across multiple families simultaneously.
What started as a simple way to take notes and share resources has evolved into not only a charting application, but a Human Resources hub with commonly used forms, our orientation video and easy access to health and care resources.

What LMS Live Actually Does
LMS Live is Let Mommy Sleep’s proprietary online documentation system, accessible to agency directors, caregivers, and families from any device. It is not a generic care app adapted for newborn care, it was built specifically for how Let Mommy Sleep operates, which means it reflects 15 years of operational refinement rather than a general-purpose template. It serves as one central point-of truth for care so that agency directors and licensees have exact documentation of what’s happening in each home overnight.
For Families & Agency Owners:
allows for direct communication between caregivers and families; doulas send nightly charting and any requested resources to families each morning
allows teams of caregivers working together to share family notes
allows newborn caregivers to track and send their weekly invoices
Newborn Caregivers can:
chart feedings, diaper changes, sleep habits and other relevant notesÂ
share documentation with parents or team members
access frequently used documents and orientation video
access and share evidence-based info from the Parent Resource Center.Â
Agency directors can add caregiver information and review payroll hours and family notes.
Why This Matters for Licensees Specifically
There are other care documentation apps available today as the market has grown since 2010. But LMS Live was built around the specific operational structure of Let Mommy Sleep, which means it reflects how the business actually runs rather than how a generic care platform assumes it runs.
For a prospective licensee evaluating what infrastructure comes with the licensing model, LMS Live is one concrete answer to the question: what do I actually get from day one that I’d otherwise have to build myself? The platform is set up, the documentation workflows are established, and caregivers are trained on it during onboarding. You are not figuring out how to manage information across a multi-caregiver team from scratch. See the full infrastructure that comes with your license
The running record is the point. An agency director overseeing multiple active families across a territory needs to be able to look at any engagement at any time and see exactly what has happened, when, and by whom. LMS Live makes that possible without requiring anyone to send a separate report or make a phone call.
The accountability that LMS Live creates also matters for something less obvious: caregiver quality. When caregivers know their documentation is reviewed by the agency director and seen by the family, the standard of care documentation stays high. That accountability loop, caregiver to family to director, is built into the platform rather than dependent on anyone remembering to follow up.
